More VBS Photos!! :)

Yesterday was Day 3 of VBS!!! It was pretty awesome. ;)

The auditorium. Doesn't it look sweet?

The outside "game time". It was nice and sunny.

Tie-dyed water balloons. ;)

Who's going to win the penny-offering?
Scroll down to find out. :)

The red High Flyers putting their pennies in.

Drum roll, please...

And it's the High Flyers!!!!! :D

Hudson... isn't he adorable? ;)

Two of the camera-men: Mr. Dave and Joe.

And the girls won!!! :D

Gerleen and her cotton candy. :)

Tanya.

Mr. James...

Can you feed Fred the Frog?

Dad.

Oh no! It's Mr. Tricky and Harry the Ape... They're planning on taking over the circus, but they have to get rid of Mr. Goodview first.
What will happen??

Average Joe overhears... He has to tell Ring Leader Larry!
Only, he don't believe Average Joe. What will the green-clad elephant cage cleaner do?

Find out tomorrow when I post the next batch of pictures, is what.

Stay Tuned! :)

Disney- Pixar Presents: Brave

I'd rather waltz...

... Than just walk through the forest.

As you can tell, I changed my blog name from "Vanilla Orchid" to "Waltz Through the Forest". It comes from the Owl City song, Plant Life.
My reasoning for changing the title is random. I just liked the sound of Waltz Through the Forest better than Vanilla Orchid. :)

The song itself is awesome. Very mysterious and very Adam Young. I really like it. :)

Vacation Bible School

All this week until Friday is VBS at Engleside. We've been preparing for it for a while now, and so far, it's pretty sweet. ;) Chaotic kids running around high on cotton candy, popcorn, punch, and cookies. Throwing beanbags during game time. Laughing at Mr. Goodman, Average Joe, and the puppets during the skits. BUT MOST of all, learning about Jesus Christ.

My job is to photograph everything this week. That includes taking pictures of the kids sitting in the chair above, all dressed up with either wacky hair or hats. At the end of the week, they can pick up their edited photo and take it home. :)

Gerleen making cotton candy.

Amie fixing some of the decorations. Tape doesn't stick forever, apparently.

Mom reading the missionary story in the India Room. Doesn't it look neat?

Luke instructing the kids on how to shoot.

Game time!! :)

Looks like they're all trying to give Naomi a hug... at the same time.

Maegan as "Coco the Clown".

Mrs. Katzberg keeping an eye on the bean-bag toss.

Snack time. Mmmm. Cookies and red punch.

Pull out a block... and hope it doesn't fall. :)

Hey, look! It's Jasmine, er... Joseph!

Thomas as "Mr. Goodview".

Will manning the popcorn stand.

Watching it pop. :)

Tory

A bit blurry, but this is "Ernie the Elephant". Mrs. Lacey did an AMAZING job creating him! :)

Average Joe really wanted to join the circus act... But the only job available was cleaning out the talking elephant's cage.

Mr. Goodview has a chat with Average Joe, telling him to keep at it. He'll find something he's good at. (eventually)

Closing ceremonies... Who won tonight?

The clowns hold the answer...

11,200 points for the blue team, Sky Walkers!!!

11,400 for the red team, High Flyers!!! Yes!!! My team won. ;)

The decorations in the autiorium... sweet, huh? ;)

Candy at the end... But it's only for the children. *sigh*

From left: Kaitlyn, Me (with my highlights!), Naomi, Elizabeth, and Maegan.

Plus Joe...

Overall, yesterday was a very successful VBS night, despite the lightning that kept up indoors. I wonder what tonight will bring? ;)

STAY TUNED! :)
