X-Men: First Class

Before he was Magneto he was Erik
As a sort of "graduation swap", me and Kaitlyn decided to go see a movie and out to eat. I bought the food, and she bought the movie. Fair swap, yes? I think so, too. Especially since she spent four more dollars than me. ;)

Anyway, we went and saw X-Men: First Class. Up until recently, I had never really seen any of the other 4 movies. Sure, I remember a glimpse of the second movie, where Logan is being dunked into the tank. And I remember watching the end of The Last Stand, but that's it. That's all the X-Men I knew of.
Then we watched the first one on Instant (on Netflix). I was hooked FOR LIFE, as were the rest of my family members. Well, maybe not Amie and Dad, but the rest of us were. ;)
It was different than the other four, but still just as good. I LOVED it.

OVERALL, the movie was amazing. There were a few scenes in it, though, that could have been omitted. The worst one was probably the five-ish minute club scene. While it wasn't terrible, it was still a club scene with a lot of half-naked women running around.
The language was on the whole clean. However, there was ONE f-word. Other than that, it was decent and not overpowering.
The actors chosen for First Class were brilliant. James McAvoy (The Chronicles of Narnia), Michael Fassbender (Jane Eyre), Jennifer Lawrence, January Jones, Nicholas Hoult, ect. They were all awesome.

Raven, aka Mystique, and Hank McCoy.
Alex Summers, aka Havoc. He was one of the best characters.
Sean Cassidy, aka Banshee. Again, one of the best.
Charles and Erik.
"Listen to me very carefully my friend: killing will not give you peace."
"Peace was never an option."
CIA Agent Moira MacTaggert. She was pretty awesome. ;)

I loved all of the action and powers in this movie. They were awesomely brilliant. And the soundtrack! Everything about it screamed: epic.
I don't know what Kaitlyn meant about the beginning being a little bit slow and political, because I totally didn't think that. I thought it was well paced and wasn't all that political. I loved it, as stated above. :)

HANK: Are you sure I can't shave your head?
CHARLES: Don't touch my hair.

^Hilarious line^ ;)

Charles: You have a chance to become a part of something much bigger than yourself.
Erik: What do you know about me?
Charles: Everything.

^Oooo^

The ending to X-Men: First Class was TOTALLY EPIC!

Emma Frost: Erik, isn't it?
Erik: I prefer... Magneto.

And then the screen went blank. I had shivers. ;)
Needless to say, I really want them to come out with another X-Men movie! And soon! :)
