*VBS starts at our church next week. Can you say busy? Ok, so it's going to be fun too. But, man! preparing for VBS is hard work. Last year we were in Arkansas at the time, so when I went into it this year, I totally wasn't expecting the work days (on Wednesdays from one in the afternoon to like till church, which is at 7). I've colored clowns with oil pastels (which I officially dislike), cut out laminated clowns, typed out application questions, drank Pepsi, gulped two Sprites, pealed stickers off a sign, cut out name tags, and much more.
Then at 5, after the work days, we go blitzing around the neighbor hoods around Engleside. Because Engleside is right next to a school, you'd think that there would be a lot of kids around. Turns out, most of the people living around there are old people. Pretty soon you end up going by how good the yards look.
"Nope. Too many flowers. Kids don't live there."
*Tomorrow I'm getting my hair highlighted. I'm so excited. I'll be putting up pictures as soon as I can. Stay tuned! :)
*Tory got a job at the library! So that's pretty awesome.
*I officially have the chapter layout to Cityscape's sequel, currently called "The Traitor's Brand". Yay! That only took like over 30 minutes. Next mission: do three more chapter layouts for the other Lantern Falling series.
An author's life is so adventurous, isn't it? :)
*I've listened to Owl City's new CD like a billion times already. My favorite songs are: Deer in the Headlights, Honey and the Bee, and Plant Life. I've decided that Honey and the Bee is the theme song to one of my books (called And Then the Sun Rose). It's an amazing CD, and I highly recommend it.
*We've been watching The Andy Griffith Show on Netflix. Luck for us it has like over 100 episodes. Free. So at lunch time nearly everyday, you always hear that familiar whistle. You continue to hear it in your head for the rest of the day.
*I have a ton of books that I need to read, including "Flip" by Martyn Bedford. I'll try and put up some book reviews. But I warn you now: they won't be very good. Most likely, anyway.
*Mom baby-sits these two kids, Grant and Hudson. They're both under 3, but they're the cutest things! I love them both to death. But anyway, we bought this kiddie pool a couple days ago for them to play in. However, we lacked a good pump, so for like two days we've been pumping it slowly with a tire-pump. There's efficiency for ya.
*Here's an article from Blood-Horse. A tornado ripped through part of the stable area at Churchill Downs! http://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/articles/63695/churchill-downs-miracle-no-one-was-hurt
Well, that's it for now! I just figured I'd post something about something until something neat came up. Something like that anyway. :)
STAY TUNED! (ah, there's that whistle!!!)
